For which industries does Brütsch Technology offer automation solutions?
Our automation solutions are used in numerous sectors, including food & beverage, medical technology, electronics, logistics, general industry and SMEs. The systems are individually adapted to the respective requirements.
When does automation start to pay off?
Do you work with industrial robots or cobots?
We use both classic industrial robots and collaborative robots (cobots). Which solution is used depends on the requirements in terms of safety, cycle time, flexibility and available space.
Can existing systems be retrofitted?
Yes, many existing machines and processes can be automated or expanded. We check the technical possibilities in advance and develop a suitable retrofit or integration solution.
How does a typical automation project work?
A project usually begins with an analysis and consultation. This is followed by concept development, design, specifications, programming, assembly and commissioning. We remain in close contact with our customers throughout the entire process.
How long does an automation project take?
The project duration depends on the scope and complexity of the system. Smaller projects can be implemented within a few weeks, while larger systems can take several months.
What costs should I expect?
The costs vary depending on the requirements, degree of automation and design. We attach great importance to transparent calculations and – if desired – also offer modular or step-by-step automation concepts.
Are there smaller entry-level projects?
Yes, automation projects often start with straightforward applications such as palletizing, pick-and-place or simple handling tasks. These can be flexibly expanded later on.
Do you train our employees?
Naturally. After commissioning, we train your staff in the use of the system to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Do you offer service and support after commissioning?
Yes, we offer both on-site service and remote support. Our aim is to ensure high system availability and fast response times.
Do you provide support with the concept and feasibility analysis?
We provide you with comprehensive support during the concept and feasibility analysis. Together, we analyze your existing processes, requirements and goals and develop an individual automation concept based on this. In doing so, we examine both the technical and economic feasibility, identify optimization potential and point out possible implementation steps. The aim is to create a sound basis for decision-making for a successful automation project.
How can I request a project?
You can simply request your project by e-mail or telephone. Once you have contacted us, we will get in touch with you promptly to discuss the next steps.
Do you need specifications or initial sketches?
A specification sheet or initial sketches are helpful, but not absolutely necessary. We are happy to support you at an early stage of the project in defining the requirements and developing a suitable concept.
Can I receive a non-binding consultation?
Yes, of course. We offer a non-binding initial consultation in which we discuss your tasks, goals and possible automation approaches together.
Are there any reference projects?
Yes, we have numerous reference projects from various industries. On request, we will be happy to provide you with suitable examples that are comparable to your task.
FAQ Medtech
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our certifications, services and expertise in the field of medical technology. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Contact our experts directly.
What does Brütsch Technology do in the field of medical technology?
Brütsch Technology develops and manufactures sophisticated medical technology products as OEM solutions or on a private label basis. As a “one-stop store”, we support projects along the entire value chain, from the initial idea through development and industrialization to series production and market launch.
What role does Brütsch Technology play as an OEM solution partner?
We act as an extended development and production organization for our customers. Depending on requirements, we assume partial or complete responsibility for design, engineering, approval, production, service and lifecycle management.
Do you also offer private label products?
Yes, in addition to customer-specific OEM solutions, we develop and produce our own market-ready private label products. These can be individually branded, adapted and integrated directly into existing product portfolios.
Which medical technology applications do you cover?
Our areas of focus include video endoscopy, the design of shaver systems for minimally invasive surgery and 3D scanning for dentistry. We also offer other medical technology system solutions and can draw on extensive expertise in the fields of 3D vision and artificial intelligence. The focus is on compact, high-performance and regulatory-compliant electromedical products.
Do you provide support for MDR and FDA approvals?
Yes, our teams have extensive experience in the development of MDR and FDA-compliant medical technology. We provide support in the design control process, risk management, the preparation of technical documentation and the transfer of products into regulated series processes.
In which project phase can we start?
You can join us at any stage – from the initial product idea and the further development of existing systems through to scaling and series production. We adapt our services flexibly to the project status.
Do you develop customized hardware and software?
Yes, we develop both hardware and software solutions, including electronics, embedded software, image processing and system integration. The goal is always an optimally coordinated overall solution.
How do you ensure quality and reliability?
Our processes are designed to meet high quality and safety requirements and we are ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified. This includes structured development processes, comprehensive tests, validated production processes and end-to-end quality management.
Can existing products be further developed or industrialized?
Yes, we also take on the optimization, industrialization or series transfer of existing products, for example to reduce costs, improve performance or adapt to regulatory requirements.
In what quantities do you produce?
We support both small batches and scalable series production. The production strategy is aligned with market expectations, cost structure and regulatory requirements at an early stage.
How does a collaboration with Brütsch Technology start?
The first step is usually a non-binding initial meeting. We clarify requirements, objectives and framework conditions and define the next steps for a structured collaboration. A larger development project usually starts with a concept phase in which the requirements are specified, the feasibility is checked and the project is planned in detail.
What standards and specifications are you guided by?
Our development processes are based on established standards and best practices such as IEC 62304, IEC 62366, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and the MDR and FDA requirements. This includes structured design controls, end-to-end risk management, verification and validation activities and complete technical documentation throughout the entire product life cycle.
How do you deal with design-for-manufacturing and design-for-testing?
Design-for-manufacturing and design-for-testing are integral components of our development. We take series processes, automation, testability and scalability into account right from the early stages. We employ highly qualified production engineers. The goal is a robust product architecture that enables reproducible quality, stable performance and economical series production.
