We primarily process the personal data that we receive from our customers and other business partners as part of our business relationship with them and other persons involved or that we collect from their users when operating our websites and other applications.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law and, where applicable, with the data protection law of the EU GDPR.   • Advertising and marketing (e.g. sending company presentations, invitations to trade fairs) based on our legitimate interest in expanding and maintaining our customer base, provided you have not objected to the use of your data;
  • Examination and optimization of procedures for needs analysis for the purpose of direct customer contact and collection of personal data from publicly accessible sources for the purpose of customer acquisition;
  • Market and opinion research, media monitoring.

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes (e.g. when you register to receive a newsletter), we will process your personal data within the scope of and based on this consent. Consent that has been given can be revoked at any time, but this has no effect on data processing that has already taken place.

4 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites and for our newsletters with which your browser or device can be identified. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

In some of our newsletters and other marketing emails, we also include visible and invisible image elements, where permitted, which we can retrieve from our servers to determine whether and when you have opened the email so that we can measure and better understand how you use our offers and tailor them to you. You can block this in your email program; most are preset to do so.

By using our websites and agreeing to receive newsletters and other marketing emails, you consent to the use of these technologies. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. 5 SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

6 Hosting

We work with Hostpoint AG in Switzerland to host the website. The corresponding data in connection with our offer is stored in Switzerland. Hostpoint AG is subject in particular to Swiss data protection law (DSG).

7 Online Marketing with HubSpot

We use the HubSpot marketing software from the American company HubSpot Inc. on our website, hereinafter referred to as “HubSpot”.

We use HubSpot for:

  • contacting us using the contact form
  • Subscribing to the newsletter and sending the newsletter
  • for the evaluation of the use of our website (e.g. visits, pages visited, length of stay) and for the evaluation of the use of our newsletter (e.g. opening rate, click rate, unsubscriptions)

The content of our landing pages and the personal data you provide, for example when using our contact form or registering for our newsletter, are stored on the servers of our software partner HubSpot.

HubSpot also uses “cookies”, which are stored on your computer. HubSpot evaluates the information collected (e.g. IP address, geographical location, type of browser, duration of the visit and pages accessed) on our behalf so that we can generate reports on the visit and the pages visited and thus improve our website. If you generally do not want HubSpot to record your activities on our website, you can reject this in the cookie message that appears when you first visit our website.

HubSpot is certified in accordance with both the EU-US Privacy Shield and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield, thereby guaranteeing appropriate data protection. Comprehensive information on how HubSpot handles the collected data and how it is protected can be found in HubSpot’s Privacy Policy.

When you register for our newsletter, we collect the following data from you: Title, first name, surname, e-mail address.

In addition, the following technical data is collected during registration: IP address, time of registration and declaration of consent, type of web form completed, information on the double opt-in workflow.

Your consent will be obtained for the processing of the data as part of the registration process. If you register for our newsletter, you will immediately receive a confirmation email with a link. By clicking on the link, your e-mail address will be verified. This process is called double opt-in (DOI) and protects both you and us from misuse of your e-mail address and helps to prove that the consent actually comes from the owner of the e-mail address used. You have the option of withdrawing your consent to the processing of your data at any time. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.

If you provide us with your personal data by registering for the newsletter, the disclosure of this data on your part is always on an expressly voluntary basis. The legal basis for the processing is GDPR, Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a.

Our website uses Google Analytics. This is a service for analyzing access to websites of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”, and enables us to improve our website. Cookies enable us to analyze your use of our website. The information collected by means of a cookie (IP address, time of access, duration of access) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The analysis of your activities on our website is transmitted to us in the form of reports. Google may pass on the information collected to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. You can also prevent the installation of cookies from Google Analytics by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. In this case, however, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

8.2 Google Ads

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.
